Snow Clearing Priority Policy

The Town of Moosomin has a priority list for clearing of snow, which is as follows:

1. Main Street – Highway #8 (Including Fire Dept.)
2. R.C.M.P.
3. Ambulance
4. Hospital
5. Railway Crossings
6. Schools
7. Main Arteries (Including Park Ave., Cook Road, Broadway Ave., Lake Avenue)
8. Residential areas

The Public Works Dept. alternate between starting snow removal on the East and West sides of Town. Example: After a snowstorm the streets will be plowed first on the East side of Town, and then the next snowfall, the streets will be plowed first on the West side of Town.
