Moosomin Community Recreation Plan
Back in 2020 around COVID times our Department undertook the task to develop a 10 year Community Recreation plan that would take us from 2020 to 2030. This included Administration , Programming and facilities. The tasks outlined in the CRP were as a direct result of community requests.
As a result of an amazing Community we have been able to get the entire plan completed in 5 years!!
Just a sample of tangible results includes:
Feasibility Study on New Skating Rink
Feasibility Study on New Curling Rink
Feasibility Study on New Fieldhouse
New Outdoor Court Space
Terry Lynd Basketball Courts
Bradley Park 2-2 Basketball Courts
Pickleball Courts
Fun World
Dog Park
Pharmasave Field
Sharpe’s Field
Upgrades to Ball Diamonds
Upgrades to Football Field
Upgrades to Soccer Field
Bradley Park Lending Shed / with equipment
Bradley Park Paving Project
So now it is onto a new 10-year plan. With that we will be looking for public input again with what the public would like to see. Questionaries …public and private meetings will make up the meat and potatoes of the plan.
For those interested watch in early 2026 for calls to the public for input!!
